You'll leave the busy cruise routes as quickly as possible, to explore a magical landscape in peace and privacy - just you, your few fellow passengers, your expedition leader and the wild wonders that stretch to the horizon.
The spirit of discovery 'Safari Quest' carries her passengers in comfort, but she never forgets they're on board to explore one of the world's most exciting wildlife environments. A yacht safari is a "hands-on" experience for the mind and the body. You'll travel with an expedition leader who provides insight and expertise through daily talks and guided walks. In port and at anchor, the possibilities are endless. Paddle in a placid cove on one of the yacht's eight double sea kayaks or float aboard the 12-passenger inflatable keeled tender amid impossibly blue icebergs. Walk on a wilderness beach, stroll along a boardwalk in a quaint fishing village, or just relax on board. It's your holiday!
Comfortable cabins
'Safari Quest' offers accommodation in three cabin categories, all charmingly decorated and equipped with private bathrooms with showers, small closet areas, individual temperature controls and VCRs.
Inviting public spaces
As comfortable as your cabin will be, you'll also have inviting choices when it comes to public space on board. The salon has a bar and comfortable seating, the perfect place for an informal recap of the day's events with your expedition leader or for viewing a movie video with your fellow passengers on the big-screen TV. A quiet reading area is available on the Bridge Deck, and the topside Observation Deck offers the "best seats in the house" for outdoor sightseeing.
Open-bridge policy
You're welcome to visit the Captain and his officers for a lesson in navigation or marine engineering whenever conditions permit.
Relaxed and informal atmosphere
While you might like to change out of your hiking clothes for dinner, you won't need a wardrobe any dressier than "smart casual" wear. Don't forget your swimsuit for relaxing in the yacht's top-deck Jacuzzi.
Fine dining
Dining on board is truly a gourmet's delight of fresh local seafood, just-baked breads, hearty soups, exquisite entrees and sinfully delicious desserts. Meals are served at one seating; the atmosphere is cordial and dress is always casual.
An all-inclusive experience
Everything's included aboard the 'Safari Quest' from beginning to end: gourmet meals; premium wines, beer and liquor; kayak and tender excursions; flightseeing over icefields (weather permitting); private shore tours; and arrival and departure transfers.
