Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 - Auckland, New Zealand
From the magnificent views atop Mt. Eden to the superb Maori artifacts in the War Memorial Museum, Auckland cannot fail to delight your senses and spark your imagination. Excursions beyond the city visit pastoral gardens, private homesteads and sheep farms.

Day 2 - Gisborne, New Zealand
Located on the North Island’s “Eastland”peninsula, Gisborne is the first city to see the sun each day, and it sees a lot of sun due to its pleasant climate. The fertile countryside produces a lot of fruit and also grows grapes for praiseworthy local wines. This is traditionally cited as the place the Maoris first arrived in New Zealand, and it is certainly the place where Captain Cook first landed in the 18th century.

Day 3 - Cruising the South Pacific Ocean
A day at sea to enjoy the many pleasures of your Seabourn yacht. Check the daily Seabourn Herald for intriguing shipboard activities.

Day 4 - Nelson, New Zealand
Nelson is famous for the artists and craftsmen who practice there. You may visit a glass-blowing studio, galleries of wearable art and collector’s cars, as well as a potter’s studio to watch hand-thrown pots being created. Alternatively, ride an all-terrain vehicle through Happy Valley for a scenic thrill, or soar in a helicopter over Abel Tasman National Park, cast as Middle Earth in the “Lord of the Rings” films.

Day 5 - Cruising the Tasmanian Sea
Named for the Dutch explorer Abel Tasman, the first European to discover New Zealand. The sea is between Australia and New Zealand.

Come face to face with koalas, kangaroos and wombats on tours from this laid-back city. Wander in botanical gardens and enjoy people-watching from a cafe on the Brisbane River.

Day 12 - Cruising Australia's Gold Coast
Between Brisbane and Sydney, a strand of beaches along Australia’s eastern coast has earned the nickname for its beauty and charm.

Day 13 - Hayman Island, Australia
One of the world’s most luxurious and exclusive resorts is set on one of the Whitsunday Islands in the midst of the Great Barrier Reef. Seabourn guests are invited to enjoy it for a day or, optionally, to stay for several days and rejoin the ship later. Excursions to the resorts fixed pontoon base on the nearby reef are also available.

Day 14 - Cairns, Australia
On the eastern side of this beachfront city stretches the Great Barrier Reef, attainable by swift catamaran or helicopter. To the west looms a lush rain forest waiting to be explored by train, army duck or four-wheel-drive vehicles. Charming Port Douglas is icing on the cake.

Day 15 - Cairns, Australia
Disembark for flight home.
