The Yachts of Seabourn

Florence and Italian Yacht Havens + Mediterranean Tapestry

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 - Monte Carlo, Monaco
The Principality of Monaco is the epitome of Riviera chic. Here elegant excursions abound: Explore the old and new city. Or travel up to the perched hillside village of Eze, or along the coast to Picasso's Antibes.

Day 2 - Calvi, Corsica, France
Lounge on a gorgeous beach, stroll along the Marina or cross the drawbridge to the Genoese Citadel on the northern coast. A jeep excursion into the rugged massif reveals a good bit of Italian influence in the towns of Calenza, Zillia and San Antonio.

Day 3 - Portovenere, Italy
Your ship hugs the coast to give you stunning views of the Cinque Terre, five jewel-like towns along the towering Ligurian Riviera. Arrive at Portovenere Ñ a setting that has inspired poets for centuries Ñ and enjoy the luxuriant pace of this friendly resort.

Seabourn Exclusive - Be wisked away in a private charter boat to discover, Seabourn Style, the hard-to-reach villages of the Cinque Terre.
Day 4 - Golfo Stella, Italy
Weather permitting, your Captain will anchor in this idyllic location and deploy the Marina for a day of play in the sea and sun

Day 5 - Florence (Livorno), Italy
Shore excursions from this busy port offer the opportunity to explore Florence, fabled for its art treasures, superb cuisine and top-rated shopping. If you prefer, tour the picturesque Tuscan towns of Lucca and Pisa with its famous leaning tower.

Day 6 - Portofino, Italy
In the picture-postcard bay of Portofino, you anchor among local fishing boats and yachts. From the small pastel-colored piazza on the waterfront, narrow streets wind up to the church of St. George's for a breathtaking view.

Day 7 - Portoferraio, Elba, Italy
Portoferraio is the main town of this lovely isle. Climb the streets to Napoleon's house for fine views over the town walls. This town house and the emperor's country home at Villa Napoleonica are now museums.

Day 8 - Rome (Civitivecchia), Italy
The Eternal City is an eternal seductress filled with antiquities, faith, fashion and fountains enough to fill a lifetime. If your cruise begins or ends here, you can easily reserve a night or two in one of Rome's finest hotels.

Day 9 - Poltu Quatu, Sardinia, Italy

Day 10 - La Goulette (Carthage), Tunisa
The ruins of ancient Carthage yield insights into the glory of Mediterranean empires. The Bardo Museum holds treasures including classical sculptures and massive Roman mosaic floors. The hillside suburb of Sidi Bou Said is a blue-and-white oasis of arts and culture.

Day 11 - Palermo, Sicily, Italy
Riches abound, from the city’s Norman Palace and its magnificent Palatine Chapel, to the glittering Byzantine mosaics in the Romanesque cathedral of nearby Cefalu and the graceful columns of a well-preserved Doric temple overlooking the sea at Segesta.

Day 12 - Sorrento, Italy
The beautiful bay of Sorrento boasts beaches tucked away beside towering cliffs and colorful blossoms flourishing in the sea air. Drive the stunning Amalfi Coast. Or travel to Pompeii in the shadow of Mt. Vesuvius. Easily seen on a half-day's outing, the ruins of this legendary Roman city have stood frozen in time since the first century A.D.

Seabourn Exclusive - Located in the enchanting square at the historical center of Sorrento, the Teatro Tasso is your destination for a private performance of a fanciful musical review showcasing the daily life of the citizens of Southern Italy.

Just renovated after being allowed to sit vacant for 20 years, the theatre- once a monastery - is now a visual feast and a fun diversion. Minivans whisk you from the pier for the 5-minute drive to Sorrento's "centro", where a welcome drink is served. After the 45-minute performance, the cast cordially invites their "Exclusively Seabourn" guests to the terrace of the theatre, which offers spectacular views of Sorrento and the Bay of Naples. While being serenaded by a Neapolitan mandolin player, enjoy a cappuccino, espresso, juice or soft drink and help yourself to a buffet bar of home made gelatos, sorbets, cakes and tiramisu.

You can "walk off" your "dessert before dinner" via a 10 minute stroll through the square and back to the pier or be transported back by minivan. Either way, a fun and informal late afternoon soiree perfectly matches the lifestyle of casual, laid-back Sorrento.
Day 13 - Giannutri, Italy
The muted, sun-baked colors of the Tuscan Coast are the backdrop for this island off the Orbetello Peninsula. It is a serene place for enjoying the ship's marina (conditions permitting, of course).

Day 14 - Nice, France - Monte Carlo, Monoco
If you are joining or leaving the ship in Nice, extend your travels with a wide choice of fabulous hotels along the splendid Cote d'Azur.

Day 15 - Monte Carlo, Monoco
The Principality of Monaco is the epitome of Riviera chic. Here elegant excursions abound: Explore the old and new city. Or travel up to the perched hillside village of Eze, or along the coast to Picasso's Antibes.
