Day 10 - Navplion (Myceane), Greece
From the lovely port of Navplion, take advantage of tours to Mycenae, one of antiquity's most powerful city-states. Here Agamemnon once ruled a city with massive walls, majestic gates and marvelous gold-filled tombs. The site, even partially restored, inspires awe.

Exclusively Seabourne - A small and charming fishing village, locals spend their evenings walking along the seaside promenade and enjoying the view of the beautifully lit Bourtzi Castle, which sits on its own tiny island on the bay. This evening's "Exclusively Seabourn" event utilizes small kaiki boats to motor you to this private island for a celebration of Greek dancing and folklore.

A stage has been erected in the courtyard of the Palace and seating has been placed in a classic semi-circle for you to sit and enjoy a spectacle of colorful Peloponnesse dances. Guides then lead you through the 15th century Castle proper, while a classical trio plays for your enjoyment and wines and regional delicacies are served. The kaikis transport you to the promenade pier - return to the ship immediately or enjoy an evening stroll first. Either way, as you look out to the bay and the sparkling Bourtzi, you will long remember your unique time at this tiny island castle.

Day 11 - Aghios Nikolaos, Crete, Greek Isles
There are vine-covered terrace cafes for peoplewatching along the waterfront of this enchanting harbor. An hour and a half drive away, the majestic ruin of Knossos illuminates one of the most advanced ancient civilizations ever discovered.

Day 12 - Santorini, Greece
Your ship anchors in deep blue water in the curve of a collapsed volcano's cone. Ascend to the frost-white town of Thira for an optional winery tour, and then visit Oia for a glimpse of the island's seafaring past. Or choose an archeological excursion to the ancient Minoan town of Akrotiri.

Day 13 - Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey
Witness Ephesus, one of the greatest cities of antiquity and one of the best restored, on an optional tour from Kusadasi. Walking along the marble paving, you can almost hear the steps of marching Roman legions or the ardent preaching of St. Paul addressing the Ephesians.

Exclusively Seabourne - In the evening when the ancient site of Ephesus is closed to visitors, our Seabourn guests will experience the ultimate private cocktail party in this amazing archeological wonder. Be transported back in time to the height of the Roman Empire as "Ephesians" bearing cornucopia overflowing with fruits greet you at the entrance. A torch light procession via the ancient harbor road that once resounded with the footsteps of leaders such as Anthony and Cleopatra ensues before reaching the Town Square.

An abundance of wine, cocktails and canapés awaits while a chamber group plays classical music and our very "Exclusively Seabourn" guests soak in the ambiance as it must have been thousands of years ago. A unique and magical evening.

Day 14 - Cruising the Dardanelles
Transit this narrow strait connecting the Mediterranean and the Sea of Marmara west of Istanbul.

Day 15 - Istanbul, Turkey
Straddling the Golden Horn between Europe and Asia, this venerable city blends ageless antiquity with dazzling modernity. Istanbul is a dramatic place to begin or end your cruise and perhaps to extend your travels with an optional hotel stay or land extension to Cappadocia.
