The Yachts of Seabourn

Panama, Belize, and Costa Rica

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 - Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
Smaller and less busy than nearby Miami, Fort Lauderdale offers easy access to hotels, highways and airports, which helps make getting to the ship more convenient.

Day 2 - Cruising the Florida Strait
A sunny day at sea to enjoy the many pleasures of your Seabourn yacht. Check the daily Seabourn Herald for intriguing shipboard activities.

Day 3 - Cruising the Yucatan Channel
Your Seabourn yacht navigates between Cuba and the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.

Day 4 - Belize City, Belize
Excursions explore the natural wonders of Belize. Float through caverns in an innertube, take a thrilling cable ride in the forest, visit Francis Coppola’s Blancaneaux Lodge, soar over the amazing Blue Hole or fly to the magnificent Mayan ruins at Tikal.

Day 5 - Hunting Caye, Belize
The cayes of Belize sit atop the second-longest coral barrier reef in the world. We chose this idyllic setting as the perfect spot to lower the Marina and play in the crystalline waters swarming with brilliantly colored fishes. Expect a lavish beach barbecue, as well.

Seabourn Exclusive - Savor a lavish beach barbecue with silver and fine china, grilled lobster and water sports - plus our famed Caviar in the Surf.
Day 6 - Roatan, Honduras
Choose a close encounter with gentle dolphins, in their element. Or ascend a mountain and slide through the forest to a gorgeous beach suspended on a system of cables. Another option: simply slip into the water at the beach and gaze at vivid fishes swimming in the gin-clear water.

Day 7 - Cruising the Caribbean Sea
A day at sea to enjoy the many pleasures of your Seabourn yacht. Check the daily Seabourn Herald for intriguing shipboard activities.

Day 8 - Puerto Moin, Costa Rica
Explore the splendid nature of Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast on an aerial tram high in the forest canopy, on board a whitewater raft, threading through the mangrove forests of Tortuguero in a boat or in the virgin forest in an off-road vehicle.

Day 9 - Cruising the Caribbean Sea
A day at sea to enjoy the many pleasures of your Seabourn yacht. Check the daily Seabourn Herald for intriguing shipboard activities.

Day 10 - Transiting the Panama Canal
With stately grace, your Seabourn is raised from sea level to navigate Gatun Lake and sail between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. A pause midway allows you to experience the natural wonders at the Gamboa Rain Forest Resort. You’ll transit one set of locks in daylight, another at night.

Day 11 - Fuerte Amador, Panama
Formerly a fortified armory, this newly developed port is the portal to colonial Panama City and an in-depth look at Miraflores Locks. Also from here, you can visit an Embera Indian village and soar over the entire Canal in a helicopter.

Day 12 - Cruising the Pacific Ocean
A day at sea to enjoy the many pleasures of your Seabourn yacht. Check the daily Seabourn Herald for intriguing shipboard activities.

Day 13 - Puerto Quepos, Costa Rica
Costa Rica’s Pacific coast is rich indeed. Explore this treasury of natural wonders on a walk through the rain forest, or slip into the secluded coves in an outrigger canoe. The wildlife-rich mangrove forests are accessible by riverboat, while the sky-high forest canopy can be reached by an aerial tram.

Day 14 - San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua
Nearby Granada, founded by the Spanish conquistadores in 1524, is said to be the oldest city on the American continent. Walk its narrow streets, lined with colonial buildings such as the House of Lions and the Convent Church of San Francisco, for an intriguing journey back in time. Alternatively you may visit the majestic Masaya Volcano and look into its yawning, 600-foot deep Santiago crater. Shoppers will delight in the excellent arts and crafts market.

Day 15 - Caldera, Costa Rica
It's a quick trip inland to Costa Rica's welcoming capital of San Jose, famed for its lovely parks and wonderful buys at local markets. Or enjoy the lush countryside as you visit the Carara Biological Reserve.
